Masha and bear 
(Russian folks tale) 

     Once upon a time there lived grandpa and grandma. And they had granddaughter Masha. One day Mashas friends went to the forest and called Masha with them. They came in the forest and started to pick mushrooms and berries. They had a very good time. Masha lost and began to shout: "Au – Au"- but nobody answered her. Masha was going in the forest and lost completely. Suddenly she saw a house. Masha opened the door and came in. And there lived a bear. 
     "You will live here always. You will cook and clean the house. If you try to escape, I will eat you!" – said the bear. Masha lived in the house with bear. But she was very sad because she wanted to live in the village with her grandmother and grandfather. One day she decided to deceive the bear. She cooked pies and told: 
     "Bear, please, take box with pies and bring them to the village for my grandma and grandpa" 
     Masha hid herself in the box with pies! 
Bear took the box and went to the village. On the way he was very hungry and tired. He decided to sit and eat one pie. But Masha told him: 
     "Don't sit, don't eat pie!" Bear thought that she saw him from the house and shouted from there. Soon bear came to the village. The dogs saw him and began to bark. Bear was very afraid. He threw the box and ran to the forest. 
     Grandmother and grandfather were very happy to see Masha again, because they were very unhappy without her.
